2.00pm Friday - 2.00pm Sunday. £150 per person

Sound Camp is a sound therapy once a year weekend retreat held in the middle of a 100 acres of steep sided semi wild Devon countryside

for gong practitioners, gong enthusiasts, sound therapists and anyone interested in the gong, sound therapy, yoga, tai chi or dance to come together for the weekend for lots of sound and movement related activities.

We will be serving wholesome and nutritious vegetarian/vegan meals throughout the weekend, this is real food and will be mostly organic, some special diets will be catered for if requested at time of booking.

Coombe Farm, where the Sound camp is set, offers peaceful, traditional, back to nature, off grid camping in the beautiful Mid Devon countryside. This is eco camping amongst 100 acres of fields, woodlands, camping terraces, walking tracks and a small acreage of nettles grown to make leafcurd. Wildlife abounds with the land supporting both creatures of the forest such as deer, badgers, and foxes, and birds of prey including owls, buzzards, and ravens.

During the three days there will be:-

  •  a variety of workshops - sound therapy, yoga, dance, tai chi and gong baths

Saturday all night Sound Bath

The Sound bath will commence at 8pm and can be up to 12 hours of unbroken gong sound. Anyone who wishes to play the gongs may do so, each player completing 30 minutes.

The first two hours will  start with other instruments and then the gong will play for the rest of the night.

Twelve hours is a long time to be lying down.  Therefore the first four hours will be very casual; people can lie down for as long as they wish and have the freedom to get up and join others near the campfire, drink tea etc but keeping a silence so as to not disturb those who are lying down.

At midnight everyone attending will settle down for the night. We will arrange ourselves in order of playing such that when the next person gets up to play, they will  gently nudge the person beside them to warn that their turn is very soon.

Maintaining silence throughout the Sound bath is essential.

After breakfast - The morning workshops will be from 10am - 12pm "

Afternoon: After lunch brings Sound camp to a close.
